GREENS CONTINGENT - THE PEOPLE’S BLOCKADE OF THE WORLD’S LARGEST COAL PORT
This November, join the largest peaceful civil disobedience protest for climate action in Australia’s history, at the world’s largest coal port at Muloobinba (Newcastle), on Awabakal and Worimi land and water.
Thousands of people are coming together to blockade ship for 30 hours (including overnight). We’re demanding that our governments stop allowing new coal projects, and instead tax fossil fuel export profits at 75% to fund community and industrial transition, and pay for climate loss and damage.
It will be a fun and family-friendly gathering, with live music and speakers and food shared by donation.
Borrow one of Rising Tide's kayaks, or bring your own vessel – a kayak, tinny, yacht or surfboard!
