You're here because you care about Hannah Thomas.
People across Australia have been horrified to see the violent arrest of peaceful protestors who are standing up to the Labor government's lack of action on action on the climate crisis, native forest logging, and the genocide in Gaza.
Use this one-click email to contact the Prime Minister and demand justice for non-violent protestors like Hannah Thomas.
Dear Prime Minister,
We note that former Senator Bob Brown was recently forced to write on your behalf to Hannah Thomas, the former Greens candidate for Grayndler.
Dear Hannah Thomas,
I write in the stead of Anthony Albanese, Prime Minister of Australia.
I wish you a speedy and full recovery.
It is shocking that you were arrested for peacefully taking part in a protest and treated in such a way – a police ‘takedown’ – that you may lose the sight of your right eye. This was in Sydney, not Rangoon or Moscow.
Our High Court has ruled that peaceful protest is a constitutional right of every Australian, including you. It is fundamental to a representative democracy.
You also stood against PM Albanese as the Greens candidate for Grayndler, offering voters options including Australia acting more assertively to end the death toll and human misery in Gaza. You did not win, but well done. I salute your courage, integrity and advocacy of a fair go.
I trust Anthony Albanese will have the ordinary Aussie decency to also contact you soon and wish you well.
Yours sincerely,
Bob Brown
Liffey, Tasmania
We are calling on you to ensure the right to peaceful protest across Australia to ensure other protestors like Hannah are not put in danger by the police.
We are also calling on you to do everything in your power to end the genocide in Gaza, by sanctioning the Israeli government, ending the two-way arms trade with the state of Israel, and expelling the Israeli ambassador.
In hope,
The people of Australia
