3 massive things have happened all at once on the forest front!

1. The NSW Land and Environment Court has slapped the Forestry Corporation down with a massive $360,000 fine for illegal land clearing in Yambulla State Forest. The Judge went as far as finding that Forestry - a State Owned Corporation -  is a serial offender and likely to illegally log again. 
   
   
2. At the same time, groundbreaking research published by 14 authors including some of Australia’s most respected independent expert forest scientists has revealed the extent of the destruction of native forests in NSW and presents the clearest picture yet of the species and habitat at stake due to ongoing native forest logging. The paper has comprehensively debunked the bogus claims of the logging industry that somehow what they do is sustainable! 
   
   
3. We just convened the first ever public event for the Parliamentary Friends of Forests. Government, opposition, and crossbench MPs alike, joined community forest activists inside Parliament as incredible environment and wildlife experts made the case for putting an end to native forest logging in no uncertain terms.

It is not a coincidence. Through shared grit, genius and determination, things have aligned. This is the moment to push.
